Amr Gamal's THE BURDENED gets its world premiere at the Berlinale

The Burdened, directed by Amr Gamal, will be shown at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, within the pens of the Berlin Panorama section, as a world premiere. The Burdened, written by Mazen Raat and Amr Gamal, was filmed entirely in Aden between August and November 2021. The film centers on Ahmed and Isra'a parents of three children who lost their job due to the country's economic crisis. Isra'a finds out about her fourth pregnancy at this time when they cannot afford to raise one more child. The actors who played the main role are Khaled Hamdan, Abeer Mohammad and Samah Al-Omrani. The film is produced by Mohsen Alkhalifi and Amr Gamal under the banner of Adenium Productions.
